Download the DMG
Get the Apple Silicon build from the v0.5.6 release.

Move DuckDisk to Applications
Open the image and drag DuckDisk into the Applications folder.

Grant access when needed
Full Disk Access gives local scans the most complete result.
Current community builds are ad-hoc signed and are not Apple-notarized.
On first launch, right-click DuckDisk and choose Open.
If macOS still blocks the app, run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DuckDisk.app.

Before you scan.
Why does DuckDisk ask for Full Disk Access?
macOS protects folders such as Photos, Mail, Downloads, and application data independently. Full Disk Access reduces permission gaps during a whole-disk scan.
Why can scanned file space differ from macOS storage usage?
macOS includes APFS system volumes, snapshots, VM storage, filesystem metadata, and other reserved space. DuckDisk's tree represents files and folders it can enumerate.
Does OneDrive scanning download my files?
No. DuckDisk reads file and folder metadata from Microsoft Graph. File contents are not downloaded for storage analysis.
What happens when I delete a OneDrive item?
DuckDisk asks Microsoft Graph to move the selected item to the OneDrive Recycle Bin, where it can normally be restored.
